If you are looking for a San jose Event Photographer, you have come to the right place. In January 2019, a ground breaking ceremony for Japan Town Mixed Use was held in San Jose’s Japan Town. Among the attendees was the current Mayor and also the ex Mayor of San Jose. Many of City officials and long time Japan Town residents are also presence for this important event. The legendary Yosh Ushida was there and I couldn’t help to get a selfie taken with the friendly, down to earth, and smiley Olympic Judo Coach. I also had a long conversation with many of the Japan Town residents and learned a few things about the history of Japan Town. It used to be a Chinese Town in the early 1900. Food was provided by my favorite Japan Town places such as Kazoo’s and Roy’s Station. Here are some of my favorite images from the event. My name is Harry Who and I am a San Jose Photographer specializing in Weddings, Headshot and Event Photography, catering the San Jose, South Bay and San Francisco Bay Area. As a San Jose Editorial Photographer, I love getting assignment like this. Faith, a teenager who born and raised in San Jose, has been organizing a Toys For Tots drive on her Birthday for the last 7 years. When she was 6 years old, a daughter of a Marine Father, determined to help others on her Birthday. She asked her parents to give her presents to the Toys for Tots drive. And since then, she had a community Birthday Party at a local park in Santa Clara and invited many of her highschool friends, her basketball team, and neighbors to the point that the party is too big to hold at her house.
Posted below are my favorite images of the party. If you’d like to see the article published by Santa Clara Voice, please click here to read the article.
Chrissy’s husband contacted me to photograph the fun Birthday party for Chrissy at the Hotel Valencia in Santana Row shopping center in San Jose. CA. He mentioned that he also regard photography as his main hobby and he loves candid images with a lot of punch, saturation and candid emotion. So I promise him that I will do my best and use my best interpretation of the scene that I am trying to photograph just what I always aim to do.
Hotel Valencia recently added a tent cover in their roof courtyard which is a great move, because you can have a great party on the courtyard even on a wet winter evening. The tent was well heated and plenty of room to host more than 100 people in that big tent. Chrissy’s family flew in from all over part of the country, the lively Birthday Party was atttended by kids all the way to the older generations. I began the night with taking step and repeat photos of the family then I roamed around the room. I have included some the images down below.
A great jazz band provided the music playing some old classics from Ella, Jobim and Nancy Sinatra. What a fun night it was and you can tell from the posted images below. I added my own strobes gelled with colors to add some punch to the images, and Chrissy’s husband was very pleased with the result. You can see his review of my work here on yelp.

Photographing a Wedding at Casa Bella in Sunol, CA, is really fun. A beautiful location for an intimate Wedding with great places to take beautiful Wedding portraits. Tessa and Dynaton finally tied the knot at the cute Casa Bella Event Center witnessed by their loving friends and families. Their family members flew from all over the world to celebrate them tying the knot. The whole day was very memorable, full of laughter, big smiles and many happy tears.
We begun the Wedding Day coverage at the house for their getting ready and then we drove to Sunol to have the first look. At their first look Tessa became very emotional where she shed a few tears, but I am pretty sure those were happy tears. The whole bridal party was on site to watch this beautiful moments. We then proceed to take a quick family photos and then intimate outdoor ceremony started. The ceremony was cute and officiated by one of their high school friends. This seems to be very fitting since they met each other and started dating and fell in love while they were in high school. Some people just knew exactly that they would be forever together as in the case with Tessa and Dynaton. There were laughters and smiles exchaged at the beautiful ceremony.
The ceremony was followed by the super fun and action packed reception at the same location. You can really tell when bride and groom are from a big and close knit family. The reception party was full of emotions, fun and laughters all night. A lot of hugs were exchanged through out the night, and the dance floor was full all night with the young ones all the way the older generations. Well, please browse these images below to imagine the fun they had with their friends and family at their beautiful wedding.

Tessa and Dynaton met while they were in highschool and they quickly became high school sweethearts. After a few years of courting, finally decided to tie a knot at a beautiful Casa Bella in Sunol, a beautiful location locate in Sunol on the East Bay. When I first met them, I knew right away that these 2 kind and good looking people were meant for each other. They always show up with their best smiles and positive attitude. For their Engagement Session, they chose San Francisco and we started at the mustard field next to their apartment and then we headed down to the mission area. We spent a few hours there and then we proceeded to the Presidio’s Lovers Lane. It was such a pleasure photographing this two lovebirds because they are so easy going. Here are some of my favorite images which they use as part of their Guest Sign in Book for their Wedding.
