• About

I aim to create pictures that tell stories...your stories. I love hearing my clients stories and I can't wait to talk with you about what stories we will create together. Please take a few minutes to look through my work and get to know my style.

I love being around people; and love documenting people's life. Animated and Spontaneous people? I love them. Most of all, I really enjoy creating honest, heartfelt pictures cause the emotional response for my subjects or the viewers; the images that give me the goosebumps while taking them behind the camera. Through this process, I also learn new things about life as well ...... about love, passion, friendship, and what makes people tick and sets them alive. I have done a lot of career throughout my life, from Software Engineer, Record Store Owner, Party Promoter, Raves and Clubs DJ, Massage Therapist, Meditation Teacher (right?) but I have never been happier than to be a Photographer. I am sure a lot of Photographer would agree with me. :)

This blog serves as a showcase for my work. On the top menu, you can see the Categories and you can click on the categories of your interests. Once clicked, you will be presented with an array of posts in that particular category. I try to blog regularly, but due to my busy schedules it is hard for me to update my blog regularly. Please feel free to leave comments located below each post as I would like to hear from you. Any questions? Please write me an email to sessions@harrywhophotography.com. Thank you for stopping by.

Brett and Michelle

The big day finally arrived, the wonderful couple were married at the beautiful Villagio in Napa Valley. What a beautiful wedding, arranged to the tee for perfection.
Here are some of the pictures from the beautiful event.

Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome Brett and Michelle……

Brett serenated to Michelle during the first dance. How romantic is that? 🙂

Of course, you’ve got to have the sparklers. 🙂

Vivienne and Ricardo

Vivienne and Ricardo were married at the Mexican Heritage Museum in San Jose. That’s their first wedding celebration. They took off soon after to Puerto Rico to have their 2nd celebration there. They also plan to live there. I have never been to a Puerto Rican wedding before but I can tell you that they are very colorful people with beautiful welcoming smiles and they are the best dancers I’ve seen. I can’t wait to visit them in Puerto Rico. 🙂

It is the custom that she wore the 6 garters on the wedding day.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

In the past month I have been getting more into Event Photography, which I enjoy very much. Some of these events are worth mentioned here.

Go Red for Women Luncheon is a Annual charity event organized by the American Heart Organization to promote Heart awareness. Women have a highest risk of Heart diseases and the purpose of this organization is to teach women to eat well and how to live longer. Most of the attendees wore red at the luncheon and you can see red everywhere. What did I learn from this event? To maintain a healthy Heart: reduce the fat, eat less and …. eat mostly plants. 🙂

On the same day, I was invited to take pictures at the Cantor Arts Center, Stanford University in Palo Alto, for the Grand Opening Night of the late Richard Avedon Exhibition. The opening night was elaborately and elegantly arranged and prepared by Cooleatz Catering, owned by the famous chef Jesse Cool. So the food was amazing, and everything that Jesse prepared was organically grown. Hmm Yum Yum. Richard Avedon’s photo collection is breathtaking and so rich in flavor. Please go and see the exhibition if you can.
